Troubleshooting the “UI Failed to load” error message in Avast

Avast is a cybersecurity tools provider. They offer antivirus software for both homes and offices for free and paid versions. Their internet security is also another wonderful product on the market. With the immense capabilities of the cloud technology, Avast uses the knowledge gathered with it to fight the threats that attack its users. By receiving the real-time reports on the latest virus attacks and malware troubles, Avast creates speedy Virus definition files to fight the threat files and delete & quarantine them. These virus definition files will be uploaded to the software via Updating them. Once you are done updating the Avast Antivirus and restarted the software and if you can see a big banner that reads “UI Failed to Load”, this means you have just encountered the problem that many has already encountered with. It is not a very big issue actually. The UI means User Interface. The user interface is just the way of interfacing the software by the user. For example, you interface with the software with buttons, by clicking on the Scan button, you simply command the software to scan the system. If this UI has failed to load, then it means that the whole interface between the user and the software has been compromised. This issue occurs mains because of some incorrect Windows Service configuration. The incorrect windows service configuration means some of the windows service config files have been mishandled due to unknown reason or the user has deleted them unknowingly. To make it alright and work again, do the following steps. Step 1: If you are using Windows 10, 8, 7 or Vista, do this step. Together simultaneously hold the Win and R keys on the keyboard. This will run the Windows Services console. Step 2: Then Enter services.msc in the Open Textbox and click on OK button. Step 3: If you are using Windows XP, do this step (This will be the first step for XP users). Go to Start and click on Run option. Enter services.msc in the Open Textbox and click on OK button. Step 4: All the Windows users need to do this step. Under the Services console, find the Terminal server (or Services Terminal Server), right-click on it and click on Properties. Step 5: In the properties window, under the General tab, press the drop-down menu next to Startup type and press Automatic. Then select Apply to confirm the changes made. (This step is for all window users) Step 6: The Windows 10, 8 and 7 users can now restart the computer and open the Avast antivirus again. Now it will work normally. Step 7: The upcoming steps are only for the Windows Vista and XP users. In addition to changing the settings in the terminal server, right click on the Background Intelligent Transfer Services and select Properties to change the settings of this service. Step 8: In the Background Intelligent Transfer Services properties window, under the General tab, select the drop-down menu next to Startup type and press the Automatic option and click on Apply button to confirm changes. Step 9: The Windows Vista and XP users can now restart the computer and open the Avast Antivirus software to see that it works normally now.   These steps are guided according to the Avast Company itself, so use these steps to correct the “UI Failed to Load” error message.
